I have an 86 rex, and I'm having trouble taking out the twin decks (radio/tapedeck) out. It sounds simple but i dont know how? if anyone can help that would be great

to take the "surrounds" off you just have to pop them off, be careful, they break easily
first you have to take off the plastic covering around the sides of the shifter, which also pops off, then take out the ash tray
after all that then you can take out the surrounds, afterwards you will have to unscrew it from the brackets and disconnect all the wiring from your radio so it will come out
this is from my experience with my S4...have fun, it's a bit of a pain

Behind the vents in the stereo surround and behind the ash tray, there are two screws each, which must be removed before removeing the radio surround/bezel to access the 4 bolts holding the stock radio in.

k i got all that out..now the only problem is the cig lighter is stuck in the surround and i cant get it out, and can anyone post which wires are which. i have a wiring harness and theres this one brass connection, no idea where that one goes...anyone with tips or help
