t4 turbo

Do you have to do anything special to your engine to put a t4 turbo on your engine?(Relating to compression)

Would it be better to put a t2 turbo in it?

Which one would give you more boost?

And how hard would it be to put a t4 in

You want to put a T2 turbo in instead of a T4 turbo? Do you even know what you are talking about?

^it may be early but take it easy on him a bit...LOL...

well you will get more power out of a T4 than a stock turbo..
you will need manifold waste gate and DP modification is just a few things..

Do you have an N/A car and are comparing between the stock TII turbo and a T4 turbo or are you comparing between a T-20 series turbo and a T-4 series turbo?

ok, I'll bite.

your car is a N/A so either way you go you will see performance gains. but you will also need to do alot of work to get there. this ain't no honduh that you can just duct tape a turbo to and expect it to work.

to do it right you'll need alot of supporting mods.
Turbo
Turbo manifold
Wastegate
Downpipe
Fuel Injectors - bigger/higher flow rate than the N/A
Intercooler
Turbo ECU or -*-*-*-*-> STANDALONE ECU <-*-*-*-*-
alot more...

oh, forgot something. you'll also need ALOT of research and a tuner for the ECU once you dump $3,000 - $7,000 into your car to turn it into a turbo.

i know that range is big, but there are alot of options you need to take into consideration. I have a turbo and it would cost me about $5,000 - $6,000 to redo my car up nice with GT35R.

hope that is a little informative and not abrasive,
TR

results from a simple quick search while i was browsing. guess where i found it... the FAQ on this forum. please do you homework.

"Can I swap a Turbo engine/Jspec engine/13BT/etc into my Non Turbo?
Yes, check these links:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...&threadid=26647
http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/r...oconversion.htm

What Turbo kits can I add onto my non turbo RX-7?
There are no longer kits formally made at the time of this post, however there are companies from time to time that do make available non turbo to Turbo Kits. Because most of these companies stop building the kits, or go out of business in short time, it is impossible to keep active links for them.

Most people that turbo a non turbo make their own kits:
Using the stock TII turbo, exhaust manifold with spacer, NA intakes and NA ECU:

Using the stock TII turbo, exhaust manifold, intakes, ECU:

Turbo-NA Forum:

I know that will help,

Thanks to the OP for making my day that much funnier........I needed it today

I'd recommend some reading in the single turbo section to the original poster. You've got a lot to learn and much what you're after is on this website already.

So would it be cheaper and easier to put a turbo engine in and soup it up then to put a turbo on my N/A engine?
