yea i dont really thinking buying a T2 is any cheaper ... not here in Canada at least. I so far have spent around 4k (at the very most) on my car and i have ALOT done. 5 lug swap w/ new brakes and SS lines, lsd, real mazdaspeed racing seats, a low km streetport, rb full exhaust and some other things which isnt bad cause the frame alone was 1500. All prices are in cdn of course lol.

id say if i wanted to (and will in the future) put a T2 swap i could do it for alot cheaper then buying a 10k T2 ... which is the normal price if not more. Most T2's here are a avg of 10-14k.

i called racing beat and they told me to not mess with the head ach and just get a t2 remember i also have around $6500 to work with. i was thinking about turboing the na motor but i would really like to get the t2 tranny on it because its geared way better. thats what i would really like to do because then i know what i have. and yes i am gonna rebuild the motor because i has 145000 miles it still runs strong but thats alot of miles. and if i do turbo the motor what should i but in it like apex seals ect. to i can get the most boost? ive never had one of these apart but ive done alot of motor work with turbo dodge and Honda. so when it comes to it ill be prolly asking alot of ???s. i also have a daily driver so what i want is a car that i can still drive on the streets but mostly a drag car.

^ without going into detail, your going to need a engine, ecu, wire harness at the very least... and i would highly recommend the t2 tranny, driveshaft and rear end, maybe a boost gauge too.

if you looking for a drag car, mustangs are cheap. I still dont understand why people buy+mod sportscars to drag races its kinda like modding a economy car to go fast

i swapped it and i love it. found my n/a and drove it into the ground to do my swap. it was less than 3K also. jspec swap was extremely reliable havent had a problem to this day, its been over a year and trust me... i DRIVE my car all the time.

there are always going to be haters on the swap. you've already said that you love YOUR car not someone elses TII. get your hands dirty and do it. it's very easy to do and you'll love the blood, sweat and tears that you'll put into it over a weekend.
