Thumbs up t2 in my future??

After searching and searching, i feel that its getting closer till i might get my hands on a 7. I was originally looking for a NA. But with this i might go t2. I'll give u some info on what the guy said when i called him.....

10,000 miles on the new engine
100,000 miles onthe body
125 compression on both rotors
changed oil every 3000 miles
Used 20-50 in the summer
Used 10-30 in the winter.

Intercooler
Hk motors intake
Full racing beat exhaust.

He has had the car either repainted or all teh dings taken out. Something like that.
Power Steering
Power Windows
ABS
CC
AC needs re-charge

To me everything seems good. But some help would be nice, as to what i should look out for. So far my entire search and research has primarly been on Na's so this is gonna be a new ballgame. Any info is greatly appreciated. As of now i'm going to go check it out tomorrow. So I can give a quick update as to whats going on if you guys help me out. Later.

If he's got the full RB exhaust & the intake, what has he done for fuel mods? Does he have a FCD or ECU upgrade of some sort? Is it S4 or S5? Did he port the wastegate? Ask why his first engine went after 90k. How long has he had the mods? To verify the exhaust system, check for a main cat, there should be a presilencer there instead.

Sounds like a good deal to me, but check out http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/buy1.htm for the "standard" RX-7 purchase issues.

What is he boosting to? If he has increased much past 8PSI, he will be running into fuel cut, which is BAD for the engine. If he has an FCD (Fuel Cut Defender) installed, but with no other fuel mods, stay away.

if he has no fuel mods would it be a bad decision to buy it then add them myself? Has to much damage already been made? Thanks for all the help so far.

It depends on how much he's boosting the car...I'd be wary if he's going over 8PSI...Definitly get a compression test before you buy.

Either way, once you get the car you'll want to upgrade fuel.

that was me. But i'm taking care of this all by myself now. I'm going around behind their backs basically. Calling people with out their knowing. Goign to go check these out with or without them. I told them that much. But since its my hard earned money. They really have little authority to tell me what to spend it on.

If it is an S4 with stock wategate port there is probably little doubt it has gone over 8.4psi (fuel cut).

Now that this got pulled back up to the top without using a (bump). I'll let everyone know what happened. I was supposed to look at it today but things got messed up when i was showing the car i'm trying to sell (1988 volkswagon cabrio--pm me if ur interested ) Anyways i called up the guy again and tomorrow at 10 i'll be on my way to see the 89 red t2! If you guys have any info that these websites don't have i appreciate it. Also any bargain chips would be nice too. However i think this guy is really educated on his car so it may be a little tough

Fuel cut is 8.6 PSI.

But the guy would know if he has hit fuel cut before...it's like hitting a wall.

Sorry, as you know I'm a little f-ed up right I was thinking of what I set my FCD to. On the upside I haven't hurled in a while and I'm getting good at typing /w only one hand. (not for the reason people would make obvious jokes about)

Still be carefull even though it's an S5.
