t2 front pulley differences

t2 front pulley differences

just wondering if there are any differences in the eccentric shaft pullies on t2 jdm engines equipped with a manual trans and an auto trans. the jdm engine i have on my garage floor for my 10AE came out of a car with an auto trans(prob a cosmo) and i want to make sure that the pullies are the same for maual and auto trans and it not, i'll swap them out.

they look the same. i wasn't sure if there was a weight difference. i just want to make sure everything is done right.

Cosmo 13b-RE engines use both types of belts, flat serpentine on the Alt, WP and V-belt on the PS/ AC. So to answer your question they are not the same.

If your engine is just a j-spec 13b-t from and RX7 then the pulley will be the same.

well, the jdm engine i have to go in the 10AE has the v-belt type setup. at that point, i would like to think they are the same. i'm not certain what the engine is out of to be honest. it does have a rear counterweight, indicating it was used in a vehicle with an automatic trans. i've got to get that sucker off before i do much else...

All the FC's in Japan were turbo, so they had both auto and manual trans. It is not that rare to receive a j-spec with a rear counterweight and auto flexplate.
