T-2's water in oil

My friend has a 1991 turbo and he has water in the oil where do you think it could be comming from? I was thinking that it could be coming from between the two rotor halfs? Thanks for all your help

If the outer water seal breaks along the bottom of the housings, then the coolant would get into the oil. Is he seeing it on the dipstick? cause it could be condensation. I would change the oil and look at it really close to see if its got coolant in it. (Also check coolant level so it doesn't get low) Put new oil in and go about 2 weeks and drain the oil pan again. If it has a significant amount of coolant in it, then it would be a seal. The car doesn't have thick white smoke coming from the exhaust? Does the exhaust smell sweet or does it smell like cat ****? If its smoking or smells sweet then the inner seal would be allowing coolant into the rotor.
