Surging idle cold start

I removed my cruise control this weekend and now the cold start does not work it goes up to 1600 and drops down it, I have to leave it in gear with the clutch in for it to stop, does the cruise have something to do with cold start system?

Most likely messed up tps adjustment. Make sure to adjust when completely warmed up.

Green/Red wire should read 1 volt.

Sez who? Surely not the FSM since it states clearly that it should read 1 volt. And you cannot get it to read 12 volts!

Which tri plug are you talking about I'm talking about the green test adaptor behind where the air intake box would be.

Green/Red wire at the TPS should read 1 volt w/key to on and the engine as hot as it can be and thus as simple as pie to set. The check connector plug requires the test light led's which can fry the ECU when trying to set it that way. It's your choice.

Satch, I think he's got the right plug, but prolly grounding the DMM and checking wrong wire.

Maybe you can post which wires the DMM (+) and (-) go or post a link. I don't remember.

OP, FSM link in my sig.

I know the top two are positive and the single bottom is ground, but no one states the exact voltage it should be

B/W is always 12 volts w/key to on. Blue/Red is 12 volts at idle and below 2 volts at 1/2 throttle. Blue/Yellow is approximately 12 volts above 3600 rpm and below 2 volts at idle.
