Sunroof disassembly and replace write up?

I was looking for a detailed write-up on how to remove a sunroof to clean and replace it. Found one (kinda) but my sunroof won't even open so i can't follow the directions. Can someone please help?

I took mine down. It is a really easy process, just gotta watch it and go slow when pullin the A-pillar pieces down because they can be very fragile.

I did it, and didn't break anything surprisingly. Pretty straightforward, really time consuming though.

Just finished mine up. Well the sunroof, I'm going to try and get the interior back in tommorow.

If only one side goes, its probably a broken or stripped (striped?) cable. According to mazdratrix, you can't just get a cable. Just called last week.

Get a used one, and just spend time cleaning it. get every bit of dirt, grease, grime etc.. I used a .22 cal bore snake to clean the "pipes" lots of brake cleaner/ engine cleaner too.

Get some gloves and a rag. Hold the rag to the spiral part of the cable, and use your thumbnail to guide it through the spiral. This will take a while but after you you hit it with solvent it will be great!

The last time I did this (about 5 years ago) I went dry. I just rub the grease off of the surface of the cables and slide them in. Didn't use any lube on other hard ware either. This time I went the other way I greased up the cables nicely, and "packed" the little bearings/rollers with grease. I think i over did it on the rails and such but time will tell. I suggest. Oil the "bearings/rollers" leave everything else dry, and lube the whole length of cables.

That part over with.
Should my sunroof, stop in the tilt position? I pulled a relay like 16 years ago so i could use my alarm to open it, but now even after swapping out the relays, the damn thing just slides right through the place it should stop to full open.

sorry for the jack.
