Its not really possible to do that.

Your rear sub-frame holds your diff/axels.

The front holds the engine IIRC and I think the A_arms bolt to it.

So yeah if you can even move the car without one of them thats amazing yet dangerous.

Agreed...you wont be able to drive..and if you happen to start rolling, be prepared for your car to drop to the ground and damage things underneath.

Can I ask why you ask this question?

What ever your calling your, "Subframe", is not your subframe.

Like said before...your engine has no place to be mounted nor does your front suspension. And your rear subframe holds your rear suspension and diff.

Without these, your car is sitting on its unibody.

you must not know waht the subframe is.....

look under the back of your car, everything under and next to the differential is the subframe. its baisically the entire rear suspension.

your car hasnt, isnt, and wont be going anywhere without it.

descirbe the part it is that you dont have on your car currently and mabe we can help you out a bit.

Indeed...you must be confused.

Can you find a pic of it in the FSM and tell us what page so we can have a look (though it should tell you in there what it is really called)?

**EDIT** page R-3 in the FSM for 89-91 on www.iluvmyrx7.com has a picture of the subframe.

http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/2ndgen/manu...suspension.pdf

that is the direct link to the FSM. Flip to page R-3 and you will see it.

And I just noticed you said your header was in the way. So that means you are talking FRONT of the car.

I have a guess as to what she is talking about.

Are you talking about the black plastic splash guard that bolts up underneath the engine area?

Yeah..I see your pic now...I was posting the other thing and hadnt refreshed before I started typing.

That is somewhat of a subframe, I guess. But I believe it is for keeping the frame stiff and less flexible, and if you have been driving with it off, and doing any type of hard driving/cornering, it may be possible that you skewed your frame. Just a guess, but it is there for a reason.

I sure as heck wouldnt have been driving without it. Asking for trouble if you ask me.

You could get it on if you took that header off.

How much in the way is it?

I would make the 'vert reinforcment fit somehow. Even if you have to take a torch and clearence it a little. How bad is it? Are the header and k member trying to occupy the exact same space? We didn't have this problem with our EP car. You might have to make a custom one. This piece really helps cut down on cowl shake which can occur at any speed in a straight line or turning.
