Your rear sub-frame holds your diff/axels.

The front holds the engine IIRC and I think the A_arms bolt to it.

So yeah if you can even move the car without one of them thats amazing yet dangerous.
Actually, if you just take off the front mount and leave the 2 rear mounts on the differential, the subframe can drop without the differential coming with it. The axles hook to the diff and into the wheels, so that's not a problem.

The lateral links will no longer be connected and the trailing arms would have to be disconnected from the subframe in order to leave everything else with the suspension intact. So yes in theory it's possible, but it wouldn't be much fun.

Who was the dipshit that took the brace off to begin with? I'd beg and borrow money if I were you to take that header off and get your K brace back on..

That picture that you took is of the vert crossmember. I've heard of some problems with headers / downpipes hitting the crossmember. Most people just cut a notch in the crossmember so the header will fit.

Driving without it will probably make your car feel like a wet noodle.

Probably why racing beat sells a version of the header for verts then. Pacesetter is obviously one made for the coupe that *can* go on the vert.

A bunch of speculation on what it does. Guys it is a required component for a vert to insure the car survives impact. A coupe integrates support through the pillars and roof. A vert through the chassis and Kframe. Go borrow 200.00 and by a racing beat down pipe. (I have one on my vert and it fits perfectly with the brace) if you need a manifold, just peruse the used parts sections. I saw several s5's being parted. Seems no one ever buys an exhaust manifold - so that part should be cheap.
