stupid question,,,, ecu,

in my s5, where is my ecu located,, i'm searching the forums and such and looked under both of my front kick panels and it's not there,, where is it?

sorry for the stupid question.

pull up the passenger side carpet where your feet would rest. under that is a big metal plate. remove the 10mm bolts and pull out the plate. the ecu is under that.

Remove the kickpanel by the passenger's right foot (3 plastic clips). Remove the skid plate thingie that says Mazda on it. Then you need to pull up the carpet and you will see a big metal plate with harnesses connecting to it. Remove the plate (bunch of 10mm nuts) and the ECU is under there.

haynes manuals aren't worth the paper there printed on, download the fsm

i bought the manual for the sweet picture on the front...who wouldnt do that...

Mine doesn't have a cover anymore!


It's just cut and pasted from to FSM anyway....just without all the technical sheets and it doesn't have the pinouts of every stinkin' connector. It's god for a quick look up.
