Smile street porting in CA.

yea hey! im thinkin about a stage I street port for my n/a but i still need it to pass smog in CA. is this wishful thinking or is it cool?

It can be done... get a fuel controller and lean it way out before testing and make sure the cats, air pump, etc is in good working order

i have a stage 2-3 and passed with flying colors, it's easily possible.

I know guys who have run a "very large street port" and still managed to pass CA smog.
It's about having a good catalytic and injecting huge amounts of air into the cat to help it burn everything up for the testing.

fantastic that is just what i wanted to hear! thanks everyone. ill go ahead and do it! and what would be designated a very large street port? and will i hafta "make" the car pass smog with a stage I or should it just pass? thanks again.

my split air was hardly injecting anything so you don't even really need extra air, my car was hooked up as it was originally from the factory and all i did was a little tuning with the variable resistor.

the Bonez high flow cat is a great cat.

How and why would you lean out a stock NA? Nx levels go up when mixtures get too lean.
