strange electrical issue

So out of nowhere my car starts beeping. Just a constant beep every half second or so and my wipers won't go off. The switch is off, but the wipers keep on truckin.

Anybody know what might cause this? I checked my fluids with the beeps and everything is topped off. Everything seems to work. Have no idea.

Any help would be appreciated.

Beeping is the power steering computer (please read the FAQ for FC found at the top of this section) and the wiper problem is a bad wiper switch (I have rebuilt ones available on my website).

strange beeping......that is def a norm for the RX7s...but look under the FAQ or just search around. As for the wiper switch, that is another problem.........but good luck.

"1-beep, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of speed sensor signal:
In case broken wires or short circuits occur to sensors or harnesses, the buzzer sounds 60-seconds after the engine speed signal of 2200 rpm continues for 18-seconds."

Someone want to put this in english? Which harness controls this? What's a quick fix? What should I look for?

The speed sensor is in the gauges, so the wire between the gauges and power steering computer is probably bad (or you your speedo is not working).

ahhhhhh.

Yeah, when I put the gauge cluster back in I didn't snap the spedo cable back on all the way. So the speedo doesn't work right now. Will the beep go away when that is connected?
