Straight bulk heater hose recommendations

Going to replace my heater hoses. Does anyone use straight hose. Is there a bulk straight hose size. I found staright hose from Gates and acdelco size 5/16
But i found that the molded hoses are size 5/8
Is 5/16 okay to use?

5/16” of an inch is half the diameter than 5/8”.

auto part stores have large spools of 5/8” heater hose in the back of their stores. Oreilly’s should have bulk 5/8” gates heater hose in stock.

source: I worked at oreillys for 5 years so I know what gates products they stock and can easily order in.

Thanks. I believe the 5/16 size would be for the throttle body hoses and the 5/8 size are the big heater hoses.
