heater hose?

I believe my heater hose broke today. Its the hose right behind the spark plugs going into the block. Are these preformed or can I use any hose? If I can use any hose, what size is it? Thanks.

I had that one break on my previous 7. I took the hose to shucks and they connected 2 hoses together to make a replacement. Worked great.

Ya I know. Prolly will just go through the dealer though. I'll get it for about the same price but no shipping and get in a day at most. Thanks guys.

Kinda glad it broke. For 2 days now, I thought I had a gremlin under the hood making some weird *** noises, lol. I couldn't figure it out for nothing.

Heater core hose. Napa said two weeks, I said no. The guy took me to the wearhouse and we searched through about 400 different hoses til we found one from a fairlady z, of all cars. Almost perfect. Worked out perfect, just didn't have quite the same angle in the engine bay. I actually think this makes it look cleaner anyway. The replacement had 3 bends.

How much for that one? Any cutting even involved or a straight fit?

zero cutting, just a very very slight un natural bend to it, but nothing that could cause decreased flow.
I blew the heater core a few weeks ago and didn't feel like waiting 2 weeks for the true part. Just goto the store with your old one. They will probably tell you 2 weeks, and just ask if they have anything that will work. They 90% of the time (if its an actual car place where people know ****) will find something that will work as good or better.
