You are just going to drop in the 1600s? What fuel control do you plan to use?

Stock turbo injectors are 550s.

I really don't think the car will run well, if at all when the 2ndaries come on with the stock ECU.

I'll be making around 525 RWHP on stock sized lines and a Walbro pump.

Without any info on other planned mods we can only assume you're planning on a massive turbo upgrade to justify those huge secondary injectors. If you're not then don't bother with them. You'll need some form of fuel control with any injector upgrades but you'll need a full aftermarket EMS if you want (or actually need) injectors that big. A piggyback fuel controller won't work.

Otherwise if you're still using the stock turbo you don't need to upgrade the injectors as long as you keep to a sensible boost level (~10psi).

well im planning on running a garrett t3/t4 60 trim... i was told that the stock fuel system couldnt take that much boost (15 to 20psi) so i would have to upgrade the secondaries to 1600cc, get myself an FCD, and a walbro fuel pump... is this acurate or no? of not wut do ne of u seggest?

A fuel system is sized to support a certain amount of power, not boost. You can get the same power from low boost on a big turbo as you can from high boost on a small turbo. The amount of power that turbo can make on a 13B at that boost is what's important. I don't know exactly how much that is, but I'm pretty sure it won't be near the 500+fwhp a 550/1600 injector combo can support.

If you want to run those injectors you'll need an aftermarket EMS like I said, so the FCD won't be required. If you use more realistically sized injectors you'll get away with using a piggyback fuel controller and FCD, but if you're going to be pushing that much boost and want to keep it reliable you should be seriously considering an aftermarket EMS anyway.

i dunno... i like the good old reliable 350 or 383 stroker, but doesnt taking out the rotory kinda defeat the purpose behind getting a 7? i mean if u take the rotory out it is no longer a 7, in my oppinion the 13B made the rx-7 wut it is, defines it... sure it hauls *** tho.. lol

oh dont get me wrong...i would NEVER put a V8 in a 7...its all about the rotary...i would much rather drive a car that sounds like a lawn mower, makes less power, and gets worse gas mileage...<---no...seriously...i would

Yeah, I might be helping a neighbor with a V8 swap in a few months. I feel kinda dirty, but hes giving the motor and tranny (s5 with 65k) so I figure its worth it.

hey man... good deal... its always a good idea to have a spare motor sitting round... my ideal would be to have a build up 13B with lightweight rotors and 3mm apex seals all clean, painted and rebuilt on an engine stand at my house at all times... so when one engine blows i do a quick swap and im good to go again, then i rebuild theother one and im ready for hen it happens again... my only problem im having difficulty locating myself a 13B. Im not worried bout price, i just want to find one so i can have a spare, if ne one got ne ideas where i can get one please PM me asap.. lol later guys
