stinky FC

i just got my fc a few days ago and noticed it smelled a lil.. well, old. i don't mind. i can take it. it's just the girls. they can't stand it.( i know, i know... my FC is more important)

but anyways, i put a cup of baking soda AND a cup of vinegar(NOT mixed together, lol) and will leave it in there for like 2 days while i wait for my plates. so the real question is, since i wasn't a whiz in my chemestry class, can i leave it in there for 2 days while being in 90 degree weather? and the car is black.

i really need a QUICK answer as to not potentialy blowup my car

Have you actually tried to clean it. I mean shampoo the carpeting and seat cloth? Might work wonders. Headliner and plastics also trap odors, give them a wash too.

Occasionall the A/C condenser drain will plug up and you end up with a musty moldy odor. Really sinks. Find the drain hose and flush it with a vinegar/H20 solution. Rinse with water.

Shampooing the interior will definately work wonders. After cleaning it up with a wet-vac, take a look inside the resevoir, you'll be mortified .

A good cleaning should help. My parts car I bought smelled incredibly terrible inside, but then again I also found over $4 is misc. change too.

while we are on the subject of interiors, how do i get my tilt steering wheel to stay in the position i want it to be in? like i adjust it, and the wheel still moves/tilts, even when the lever is not in use. WTF?
