still no spark

ok so i have an 87 TII that isnt getting any spark, ive checked the coils, they are good, they are also getting power, ive checked teh 2 black and yellow wires and they are gettin power, ive also replaced the spark plugs, ive cleaned upa lot of grounds but i know the condensor under the trailing coils is bad b/c the tab the bolts to the shock tower has rusted off pretty much. any ideas as to where i should go from here?

Check your CAS (Crank Angle Sensor), mine just went bad and i was getting absolutly NO SPARK. Now that it's replaced everything is fine. BTW, i drive an 87 TII as well.

haha, man... i'm a female. The only thing i've got done to mine motor wise is an s5 turbo swap, heavily ported wastegate and 3in DP.

hey dude also check your AFM that happen to me recently and i went crazy fixing stuff that wasn't wrong with it till one day i thought i would change it for ***** and kicks and it worked. but anyways good luck

you dont have a crank... its called an excentric shaft. your excentric shaft sensor is also your distributor. its really damn expensive too. id probably just take it in and get it scanned and the will be able to tell you whats wrong. if you need one let me know i still have 7 laying around

Golly Gee! I better call Mazda first thing in the morning and let them know that when they called it the CRANK angle sensor, they were WRONG! Imagine. All those FSM that they're going to have to recall for all the misprints where they typed CRANK angle sensor!
