Stereo not working. It was working. Wiring problem?

Need help figuring my wire issue. See my picture. Thanks! I tried blue/red wire and blue/white wire. I forgot which one I did first, but I think that's where the problem happened afterwards. Aftermarket temp gauge is still hooked up and is working which I assume the 12v wire is working.

If it started after wiring the gauge in,try disconnecting the gauge.

Room fuse is for the stereo as it powers the Blue/Red wire.

its only a 7.5 amp fuse, so its easy to pop it.

I wished I knew what the room fuse was for before I started chasing the blue/red wire at the radio area. I am getting 0.1v at the blue red wire. Found that out when I hooked my stereo up to the blue white wire and it powered on.

I checked the blue red wire after unclipping the harness behind the dash near cluster and i got 12v there. I checked the other end of the harness clip behind the steering column area and also got 12v.

I ended up splicing the blue red wire at that location and routed it to my stereo. It turns on and works, but its not saving my radio memory. Keeps playing a demo before allowing me to play my usb.

Ill look into the room fuse

The room fuse (Blue/Red wire) has constant power, thus no key necessary. The Blue/White wire is powered by the radio fuse and has power w/key to ACC or the on position. And most radios have a reset button when the radio loses constant voltage and then regains it such as when the battery is disconnected or the wiring was incorrectly run as in your case.

Thanks everyone! I would have never looked at the Room fuse just because I didn't know what Mazda was thinking when they named the inside car, Room. It was new to me. Turns out the problem was a blown Room fuse. Bought another one and everything is perfect again. Wired up the deck to the radio blue/red fuse and am now happy again.

Thanks again!
