steering angle washer mod : washer size?

Hi all. I am about to go get aligned in the morning. I am going to see what the steering angle is before and after doing 1/4 inch washer mod on each side. Problem is my appointment is at 8:30 in the morning and I need to get the washers before the alignment. It would be awesome if I knew the size of the washer (or if someone has a rod endlink laying around and could tell me how wide the threads are) that would be AWESOME!

Thanks.

Maximum spacer thickness is 0.30"

I need to know how big the hole in the washer needs to be. Sorry for not being more specific.

i wouldent worry 2 much about it, i can go pull one of my old tie rods out if u really need 2 know.

just buy some washers with the hole smaller than u think it is, and when u go for an alighnment bring a few drill bits, vise the washers and correct hole size

AWESOME! I owe u man. Thanks a lot. Off to the washer shop I go before my alignment.

I will post my steering angle ...um .... change after the alignment. Also I will do a turning radius test. I will try to document as much as possible.

Again thanks.

IIRC it's supposed to be an M7 washer.

damn it. I didn't know the washers needed to fit over the thread but be the same size as the bar it threads into. I got them to big and the whole morning was a waste. Now I Don't have time to get the washers and get realigned.

Anybody doing the washer mod make sure you don't just get big washers.
