N/A porting 2 into 1 BIG port or swap TII side plates?
So im getting my motor ported (n/a s4) but i came across an article on mazdatrix stating that the end plates on a 6 port couldnt be ported that much, as apposed to a 4 port side plates. I also came across a site where somebody ported the side plates of a 6 port to make one huge port.
My question is which would be better? Ported TII side plates or Convert to 1 fat port.
Also my n/a s4 lower manifold will bolt up to TII side plates no prob right?
thanks

actaully i was wondering the same thing if i would benifit more from makeing one big port or just feeding both ports from one runner? this due to the fact that im making a custom intake manifold and i am eliminating the 5 & 6th port sleeves, you wouldnt happen to have that site where the guy merged the two ports??

What is your intended purpose of your car? Daily driver, occasionaly autocross, or full out racecar that has to be trailered to an event?
I'm partial to building an N/A engine with turbo plates and using the turbo intake with aftermarket EMS. Done properly it will be reliable and almost 200HP. There is a great example of an engine like this at http://www.yawpower.com/sep2004.html

If you combine the secondary and aux ports, you'll have a car that screams like hell above 6K, but has literally nothing below that point. So basically, don't do it.
You can do a lot of porting to the 6 port plates, just search around for "6 port porting" or similar. You can port both the secondaries and aux for basic street use, or bridge both ports if you want something a little more wild.
