starting a project rx7.....

yeah so to learn more about rx7's i decided to get a project car. so im getting a 88 gxl that needs ALOT of work so i will hopefully get it started and up and running in the next couple of months hopefully. realy not expecting to get it running till my mid junior year xD. o and the car cost me about 250$ so it wasnt that bad of a money loss. will follow up as i get parts for it.

yeah pretty much im trying to get it back to its original state. the guy im buying it from was going to do a ls1 swap but he never got the engine, but while he was waiting for it he pulled out the radiator and preped the rear axel for the ls1 so im going to put the rotory engine back in/back together and slowly build it up to a daily driver. first thing on my list it to make a complete list of what is missing and make a cost list of how much this is going to cost me. but i am thinking about useing a miata shifter, i read in the archives that some on did it, and the gxl dosent have a shifter so im going to try the miata shifter.

Well, good luck man... You picked a good car to fix up :-) I'm in the process of rebuilding an 86 myself.

Most importantly, have fun!

Well played
Another Seven surely saved the certain sorrow of the swap.
Remove revolving rotors rotating rapidly, RX-7 it is not
To straight strips soley should no Seven be subjected.
Rather on ravine ridged roads redline-ing it's respected

Good luck on the project!
