i think this is considered a noob problem thats why no one is answering you! (im a noob myself)
but on my car, i have a fuel pump cut off installed, but my car doesnt really flood anymore.
easiest way i can think of is to pull the fuel pump relay, start it for a few seconds (5 sec, the car wont start and if it does, itll turn off immediately). This process should burn off the excess gas. Plug back in the fuel pump relay and voilaa!!
your car should start up again fine, until the next time you flood!

I just noticed that the tach dosen't move, no smoke coming out of the muffler like the last times it flooded, today i tried push starting it and that used to work. It seems to me that there is no spark? does anyone know how to fix the problem?thank's

My suggestion is to go buy a manual from your local auto parts store... They usually have troubleshooting guides in them... If you are not getting spark, there are usually only a few things that can cause it... I am not expert (far from it) with the rotory, but I have worked on a few cars in my time... The manual should tell you how to check the following...
1. Crank Angle Sensor (CAS)
2. Igniters (The little boxes on the drivers fender walls that the spark plug wires plug into)
3. Spark Plug Wires (replace)
4. Spark Plugs (replace)
I would think that if your tach is not moving; you are probably right and there is a problem getting spark... But... If your tach is just messed up; you may want to do a compression test, since that is usually the first thing they say to do in this forum if you have a flooding issue... Low compression would cause the car to foul pretty badly and indictes that you have a blown motor...
When your car floods, you don't need to unplug anything... Just turn your key and let it turn over (with out pressing the gas at all) for about 5 seconds, then floor it... Atleast that works for me...
Let me know if any of this worked out for you... And if anyone sees anything I said that is not correct, please feel free to correct me since I am here to learn also...

well after you pull the fuel fuse to clear a flood the tach wont work until you turn off the car and turn the key back on. i ussualy do that by just driving in gear, turn off the key and turn it right back on and itll kick back on. as far as your no start problem, i dont know. sometimes mine no matter how much i unflood it, wont start. i can start it in 5x 5 second cycles ith the fuse out and plug it back in and it still doesnt want to start... so who knows

just went through a whole pile of issues with my 87 gxl n/a.
found this in other threads, but you might want to check the CAS.
first check the connections. the little plug coming out of it.
there are 4 pins. with the retaining clip at the 12:00 position the two on the right and the left are how they are grouped.
use a multimeter, and check resistance between the two on the right. 1.2k ohms or thereabouts is good.
same with the ones on the left. you should get the same reading.
if both sides check out, use some contact cleaner, and dielectric grease. and put back together.
the one problem that has been the worst in this car over all others i have worked on, is corroded contacts. dont now what it is with these cars. but electrical contacts have been the root of the vast majority of my problems. except i had to replace the TPS. 200 bucks here in canada.
hope that gets you some spark, its what worked for me.

I just remembered that this problem started when i took off my K&N filter and MAF cleaned it put it back on and no start no tach movement the engine just turns, after reading C.A.R reply i checked the spark plugs and the wires and took off both igniters unpluged all the wires looked around see and broken wires and saw nothing so i put everything back together and forgot about the MAF and tried to start the car it started for a second and then died i put the maf back on no start no tach movement, i got new spark plugs and wires
whats going on here? thanks for your time.
