I agree. No matter how fast a FWD car can be, I would never buy one. AWD or RWD for me!

i work for Daimler Chrysler, i have heard through the grapevine that they are thinking of discontinuing the SRT4 due to reliability issues with the turbo setups.

Dodge's are easy to work on, but if you really think about it what are their sport line? they have the semi modded line the RT series, which are mainly just graphical and minor suspension upgrades, then you have the viper. Dodge is trying to be more competetive now by bringing out the Hemi again but they will have to prove performance reliabilty to me first.

i thought about buying an SRT4 but the dealership i work at does not have any certified techs so they cannot sell them. the only reason i would buy one is the $4k in savings i et by working for the Corporation.

although i must admit, the limited slip transaxle kind of threw me, i expected them to leave it open axle and burn the tires off.

karack I also worked for daimler chrysler and have talked to some of the higher ranking officials due to the Trips i got to go one with the boss's and the srt-4 is definitely going to start a "new fad" as they say so i think that they have plans on doing more than you think... i highly doubt after all the RSD they have done that they will discontinue it! I mean it is in production and will most likely continue to do so until the new frames are built and desinged and tested, this is when the awd's are supposed to ammerge and the supped up versions for competing with wrx, and lancers!

Should be interesting. Time to put some heat on the Lancer/WRX.
