I was on my way leaving school yesterday, when I saw a srt-4 pull in. I have not raced anyone with my car since I have got it going, so I waited for him to pull out so I could play. So we were side my side rolling 50 in traffic, both of the people in the car laughed at me like, “look at this piece of **** trying to race me”(car needs some new paint) after messing with him for a wile we got some space and he slowed down to about 30, so I grabbed second gear and herd him punch it he started to pull on me then I hit 8lbs and started to pull a little by the end of third I had about a car length on him! Then the look on there faces was priceless as they rolled by me ahahah

Thats crazy because a similar thing happened to me at the beginning of the year befroe i sold my s4 TII. i went to a friends house, while pulling up to his house i saw a red srt4 in the driveway. it was another one of his spoiled friends bragging about what his mommy and daddy got him. he thought he was badd *** just because he pushed out 19psi and had the nerve to call my TII a wanna be hoodoo....so i asked him if i could ride in it, he was cocky and said yea ill give you a quick thrill. it was ok, i wasnt impressed and guaranteed that my "hoodoo" would kill his new car. so we raced from a stop and smashed him bad. i had 3inch straight pipe and cold air intake and was pulling 10psi.....it was funny to see his cockiness shot down........SRT4 Neons SUCK!!!

 

ummm yes! yeah i was really surprised, figured for 15lbs stock they would be more impressive

 

yeah SRT4 drivers are so cocky for some reason. it funny when they get takin down by kids in civics haha. I could care less about that car, its still a POS neon

 

It's not the car that I hate, but the drivers. It's still pretty funny to see them try to put down monster torque with FWD though. The way some people try to fight physics makes me lol.

 

i want the oppurtunity to race one so bad, but whenever i see one im not in my rex. damn!!!

lol what are you in? i see you got 2 of them that run aha. and acutally i caught the same guy the day b4 in my buick on the way to town, and i was all sad i was not in the rex so i got happy when i saw him the next day

 

yeah...most of the srt's are my area i could not hang with in my tii....and there really isnt much done to them...

 

the only srt4 guy's ive ran into were surprisingly nice and not very cocky..rolled up on him to ask what bov he had..had a nice conversation and then he went on his way. but i have seen MANY honda VTEC guys thinkin theyre hot **** bcuz they have a 1.8 4 banger that redlines at 9k and they have ARC coilovers..makes me sad..almost.

Good kill... I love to see those things loose. Some are putting down some good power numbers though I have to say. Sometime jump on over to thier forums and take a look. I have yet to get the chance to race one of em... Maybe someday I will get a chance to smoke one.

 

i only know one guy with an SRT and he is really nice and makes over 400 whp.

 

What performance gains did you get our of that mod?

 

So, when i was running 13.4's in my 7, I raced one with only a wastegate spring mod....and he barley beat me on the top end. Maybe he missed a gear...and that's why he was pissed.

 

If you were running a 13.4 you should have WHORED him. Wategate spring doesn't do too much performance wise.

 

I ran 13.8 bone stock in my "neon". The wga spring helps a lot actually. Srt's can only hold about 13psi boost on the stock wga. I did the "ghetto" spring mod for a while until I got my adjustable wga. With Just the spring, dp,and sts, it put me down to 13.1 and raised my traps about 9mph.

So I wouldn't say you should have whored him, unless he is an terrible driver, which I will admit many srt drivers are.
