springs
can i get just springs? on a budget cant really afford coilovers
looking to close the wheel gap a little bit while adding a little bit of handling
any difference between the tein, racing beat, or eibachs?
if i drop the car with just springs will that eventually bottom out the struts or anything?
because on the websites it says their "Designed to be used with OEM or OEM replacement shocks."
oh yeah and im only runnin 205/60 r15 so rubbing shouldnt be an issue

Yes it can be done, but it's not a very good idea. The stock shocks are old and if they still work properly, it's not for long and putting stiffer springs on them will shorten that life. Do yourself a favor, save yourself having to do it twice and get shocks too. If you can't afford both, do shocks only, it will give you a performance boost over the old stock stuff.

I have the Eibachs with Tokico blues. The springs dropped my car 5/8". The rated drop was .8", so that was about right, if the original springs had drooped a little.
The setup is good for a daily driver, better ride and better handling. I wish I had adjustable shocks, but this is just not in the budget for this car.
Alignment was not affected at all. I had an accurate alignment done right after the springs and shock were installed. Not a 'tire store' alignment where they are happy if everything is 'in the green', but an alignment from an alignment specialist with the goal of making everything perfect. They had no problem putting the car to exact specs with the eibach springs. Some other springs with more drop will give you camber and tire wear problems.
If you wait and look, you will find a good deal on the Tokico blues. Lots of them seem to be available when people move up to adjustable shocks. I bought my springs and shocks for cheap with very low miles.
Good luck!
