spintech mufflers

spintech mufflers

anybody ever had them on a rotary, just got a pair cause i want my car a little quieter and they were free probably gonna weld them up next weekend

If they have any Fiberglass packing in them,then you can Kiss them goodbye in say a month.The exhaust temp will eat the Innards of the Muffler out,leaving you a nice can!.By the way..LOOK down..at the related threads..I just Leafed through them.Seems they are Loud also.Good luck anyways.

they are not fiberglass and i heard they were quieter then flowmasters. What ever it has to be better then having no mufflers and they were free. il post a video up next weekend when i weld em on its way to cold right now in chicago

i was told that any1 complaining of melting the muffs had a timing problem not that the ext was to hot

Then you were told wrong, you can equate the temps of rotary exhaust to the temperature of the sun.

(That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but its very very very hot)

We had one on a race car for a while. It kept it below 96db all by itself but the backpressure pegged a 15" magnahelic guage at less than 4000 rpm. For our purposes it was like having a potato shoved in the tailpipe, on the street it might be OK, just a little loud when you get on it. A pair might work out quite well.

Thats pretty much what i was told is that at idol they are pretty silent but when you get on it they are loud and i hate this weather i picked the wrong time to trade my car for a vert, then again i couldnt have this much fun with snow in a cavalier

Theres a couple of pics my cam ran out of memory or else i would of taken a video it is alot quieter at idol and i think it sounds a little better when u get the rpms up there also me and my uncle did an almost perfect job of getting the gap between them and the bumper perfect considering it was free im very happy how it turned out
