Unhappy Speedometer stopped working, HELP!!

I was driving my Turbo II on the freeway, I was doing somewhere around 70mph when suddenly my speedometer stopped working. All the other gauges continue to work though. Any thoughts??

Remove the speedo drive gear at the tranny, and turn the inner shaft while pushing slightly- feel anything "snap in" up there at the gauge cluster? Also make sure the gear connection is good at the tranny when reinstalling it...

Worse case scenario, the shaft might have broken...

in relation to his question, could it be a possibility that the gauges can be broken too? cause my speedo doesnt work, and when i put a new cable in, i can just hear it spinning but needle doesnt go up.
