Speedometer not going to 0 Mph when the car is stopped or off.

Hey guys,

I just bought an 90 FC (NA 5-Speed if that helps) and the speedometer doesn't go to Zero, which causes the Speedometer to be off somewhere between 10-15mph when the car is doing 45mph or so (Car does ~45, speedo reads ~60). Is this a common problem? I'm not too familiar with the systems on an FC so any help, even if you just link me somewhere where I can find the info myself, would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks!

No, I don't believe that's a "common" problem.

Try undoing the speedo cable and see if the gauge zeroes out.
If not, perhaps someone was screwing around with the needle (almost always ends badly) and you'll need to replace the speedo- fortunately, not hard to do.
