spark plug wires?? (im confused)

ok im confused of where the spark plug wires lead to, because i was pulling them out and didnt know about the LEADING and TRAILING. so now i got new spark plugs but i dont know where the wires go. there are 2 boxes that the wires lead to. can some one tell me where the wires from each box goes to. pics would help, but it doesnt matter. thanks

Well, the smaller coil pack is the trailing and the bigger ones are leading. On the trailing pack, the outside (one closest to the fender) goes to the rear rotor and on the leading packs, the one closest to the firewall goes to the rear rotor. I'll whip up an image in a sec...

I used 1 to mark the front rotor and 2 to mark the rear, leading and trailing respectively.

The leading coil is the one closest to the front of the car.
The trailing coil is the one closest to the firewall.

The leading plugs are the lower plugs.
The trailing plugs are the top plugs.
leading=lower, trailing=top.

Each coil has numbers on it, 1 and 2. The Leading coil will have L1 and L2, and the trailing coil will have T1 and T2 on it. The numbering will be on the black plastic piece in large letters.
Failing that, on the leading coil, the terminal closest to the driver's side of the car is L1. The terminal closest to the passenegr side of the car is L2.
On the trailing coil, the output closest to the front of the car is T1. The output closest to the firewall is T2.

The leading coil T1 wire goes to the leading (lower) plug nearest to the front of the car.
The leading coil T2 wire goes to the leading (lower) plug nearest to the rear of the car.
IF, for some reason, you get these two mixed up (IE: T1 to rear of engine, and T2 to front of engine), relax. it makes no difference anyway (wastespark if you care why).

The Trailing coil T1 goes to the trailing (top) plug nearest to the front of the car.
The Trailing coil T2 goes to the trailing (top) plug nearest to the rear of the car.
These wires, unlike the leading wires, must not be crossed.

Also, do not cross the trailing wires with the leading wires.

The leading assembly is SMALLER than the trailing assembly, not bigger.

Leading is on the left, trailing is on the right.

Yes, there are 4 spark plugs.
Look on the tops of the coils - there's a black plastic cover which is labeled "L1", "L2", "T1", "T1".

Hey, you do know there are free FSM out there right? www.iluvmyrx7.com
Print it, laminate it, save it.
Then you don't need to post and wait for peoples replies.
Read it like a football betting sheet and look at the pictures like a **** magazine.
You'll learn a lot. The FSM too.
