something smells a little odd

along with the average hot engine smell, I smell like there is something burning but I have no idea what it could be.
engine temp is normal. and also there seems to be a decent amount of white goop in my oil from moisture,
its not just near the cap which is pretty normal I think but it gets on the dipstick when I clean it and dip it back in to check oil level.

Any Ideas? :/

White goop is normal by the oil fill cap. What kind of exhaust system do you have?

Check for the remnants of a plastic bag on the exhaust system.

I'd drain the oil.

The white moisture mucus is common up by the fill port but not so much all the way down to the sump.
Get some fresh oil in there and see what happens.

The charcoal canisters often go bad I think, you might be smelling partially filtered gasoline vapors. Do a search on 'charcoal canister' and see if that's what's going on with your '7. Personally, I like that smell.
