Not a bad car. Get some pics too. If u can drive it also. I started w/ a n/a also. I love the n/a but have decided to go to a TII motor. But I love the Rx7 period.

to maintain a second gen? augh...

If its an automatic, the day after you buy it, start saving $600 for a manuals wap because the automatic tranny won't last more than a year. (Don't ask, I know from experience. My first auto tranny lasted 9 months, the replacement lasted 6, the swap with the manual has 6 months on it and is workign 100%)

That said, set $40 a month for "unexpected" things to happen, and $10 a month for oil and what not. Thats $600 a year, and I can say for certain you will need it.

Yes rx-7s are very reliable, but if and only if they are properly and religiously maintained.

Well if he doesn't touch anything or modify anything, $40/mo will get by. The second you touch or modify anything, that should be raised to around $75-100/mo.

Trust me on this, if you learn to drive on a 5spd rx-7, you will be able to drive pretty much any other 5spd in production cars. These are tricky to learn on... by tricky I mean you'll learn twice as fast on any other car.

After you learn to drive the 5spd in the seven, you'll goto another car witha 5spd, and drive... you'll be amazed at why the hell they make other cars so easy to drive...
