solid information...everything is jumbled up and nothign is clear.
I just want some solid info. I have been searching and searching and each time someone says this and another says this. I want some solid information in this thread please. Do i need to get engine mounts to put my 87 turbo ii into my 90 gxl? Will the tranny, driveshaft, and diff in my 90 gxl work? Do i need to have a 90 turbo ii flywheel or can I use the one from my 87 turbo ii? There are a lot more questions but these are the ones I really want answer to because they determine if my swap works or not. Thank you greatly.

You didn't search very well. This is covered near daily on this forum.
The T2 engine will bolt directly in.
the NA tranny and drivetrain will work ONLY if you change the T2 flywheel to NA.
The T2 tranny does not match the NA drive train, all of it will need to be replaced (including the rear diff) if you intend to use the T2 tranny.
go to http://www.rotaryresurrection.com and search his tech info.

WHY do people continuelly put the WRONG series engine in their cars? This makes installation SO much harder. You're either going to have to hack your wiring up, or swap damn near every part on the motor and use a s5 TII ECU/pressure sensor/AFM/etc. Why!?

You should put your turboii engine AND transmission in the car. It wasn't clear that you were putting in the trubo transmission or not. You need a trubo transmission brace to do that. The na brace/mount won't work.
If you use the n/a transmission and the turbo engine you need to change the flywheel and the front engine counterweight.
If you put a turbo transmission in, and leave the n/a rear, then you need a hybrid drive shaft made or bought from MAZDATRIX.
The n/a afm will werk but you need the turbo pressue sensor.
You need a turbo ECU.
If you use the turbo engine but want to keep the ninty transmission then you have to do what was said above and change flywheels AND front counterweight. I think I said that already...
I could make the ninty wiring harness work easily. But that's me......not you. A lot depends on skill level (i.e. hung around the car a lot and READ the schematics).
