So i bought myself an RX...
Yes, I am the proud new owner of my THIRD Mazda (Protege, and MX-3 V6)
oh, no, please dont clap for me, you're too kind
Heh anyways, I just had a couple of questions to fix things here and there as preliminary/preventive maintenance:
1. If you caught my post from a few days ago, i asked about the starter. Now that i actually have the car i can describe the problem more thoroughly.. Well occasionally the car wont start, it wont even try to start at all, and when i turn the key absolutely nothing happens (no click, no trying to turn over, etc). if i turn the key back to completely off, take my foot off clutch and try again, usually that does the trick. Again, would the starter be my best guess as to the problem? Im also suspecting some kinda wiring short which leads to:
2. The power door locks randomly (and rapidly) goes up and down on its own when im driving the car. it stars clicking literally rapid fire. Not entirely sure what the cause is...
3. Windows and power sunroof roll down ok, but sometimes they refuse to go back up, or its REALLY slow. From the passenger side, it almost never works.
4. Friend i bought the car off from tells me the Fuel Injector seals needs to be replaced.. i understand the seals themselves arent too expensive, but is it a tough job to do myself? If so, what kinda labor are we talking replacing, say, all of the seals on fuel injectors? He says that if you leave the car parked for a few days it might get flooded so... i should probably get this one fixed
Well if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, or whatever on those questions above, it would help me out greatly. Thanks!

The starter could be worn out brushes. Mine would do the same thing until one day it quit working altogether. I had to push start it to get home.
The windows and sunroof probably just need to be lubricated. Either liquid graphite or silicon spray will do the trick.
Injector seals require removing the intake manifold in order to gain easy access to the primary fuel injectors. Time consuming (afternoon project) but easily done. Get a replacement gasket and I would recommend some vacuum line so you can replace the broken/brittle lines.
