smelling gas
Im getting a gas smell when my FC Na is at idle. (I smell it inside) It has been that way since ive bought it 3 years ago. I figured it was due to the flooding issues that all FC have and all that extra gas being put in to the chamber. I got a stand alone fuel pump but still smell the gas. I got paraniod when i saw a fellow FC owners car catch fire on the way to work. What things should i check? Or is it ok?

Check the pulsation dampner. It's the plastic knobby thing below your UIM just behind the alternator. These are known to fail, and spray fuel on your exhaust manifold, resulting in no more RX-7. Look at it before you drive the car again. If it is cracked, DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR. Tow it home and replace the part.
Good Luck.

Could also just be a leak in your exhaust or hole in mufflers, air leak in rear hatch(exhaust getting into rear) shifter surround leaking exhaust into cabin etc. and just plain running rich. Especially if doin it for a few years. WHen I drop my daughter off at school and she is holding passenger door open my car starts smellin like gas. Especially when the car isnt warmed up all the way and the gas isnt fully combusting
But for sure check PD and leaks under hood.
