does the FC exhaust bolt up to a FB?

hey guys, i know lots of you have a 1st gen too... my question is, does anybody know if the exhaust from a FC bolt up to a FB (gsl-se, the EFI version) at the manifold? i have no cats on my gsl-se and need to pass emissions, and my old FC has cats, and passed with flying colors...

anybody know if it's a match, or do i have to get all new stuff for the FB?

Not a chance in hell. The FB has a live rear axle and the exhaust goes over it. The FC has an IRS, which allows the exhaust to just pass underneath the half-shafts without hitting. Overall, NO IT WILL NOT WORK!!!

Well I know you can put a FB racing beat header/presilencer system onto an FC... with a slight mod piece added... but that doesn't help you much does it!?

just to make sure i was clear... i'm not trying to put the entire exhaust on... only the cats, the rest of the exhaust is no problem, i have the correct muffler, and i can either make my own, or have a connecting pipe made from the cats to the muffler... all i need to know is if the "downpipe" or "premon cat #1" or whatever it is that bolts directly to the engine is the same...

thx for the help guys!
