The header looks cool (although I see no provision for an O2/wideband) but the intake just confuses me.
That's a lot of time & effort to duplicate what is generally considered the worst possible intake design- the open cone filter behind the radiator. Unless wrapped, the metal tube is probably more prone to heat soak than the rubber part you replicated.

A complete success as a welding exercise, I think it fails as an upgrade.

Ok so im not 100% done. The o2 bung i still have to weld in but thats nothing. My wideband book says 8 - 12" behind the merge collector so i might put it after the flex coupler i have. And the intake is more of an excercise yes. To get some practice in on pie cuts. But it will have a heat shield around the filter. Building that once that car is driveable. If it doesnt improve anything all throw the old one back on. Simple. No loss on my part.

been awhile since iv done any updates on the fc. front end is finally done. everything has been completely rebuilt with not a single old bolt. all new poly bushings from energy suspension. new tein springs amd AGX adjustable shocks. all the shock mouts have been replaced with factory replacement parts. I also built a new equal length header. I was not happy with the weight of my old one. all that's left on this build is the rear bushings. everything under the car has been replaced. heres a few pics
