I beleive it is emission stuff. Maybe you wont pass smog if tyou take it out? I am not 100% positive.

If you have a s4 (86-88) then the air pump is needed for the cats. So if you get rid of emmisions stuff, you won't need it. If you have a S5 (89-92) then you need the air pump to actuate the 5th and 6th ports.

Tim

PS: I got this info from the racing beat full exhaust install instructions. (So its valid)

Leave your spare tire and jack in there, walking sucks. You can take it out when you get to the track.....

I have a partialy remover ac system but I still need to get rid of the condenser thing. YOu just remove the AC pump and lines and the pully left over afterwards. Also the Dryer thing. To remove the Radiator looking thing you need to move the oil cooler out of the way or the radiator. and there is another thin under the dash but I don't want to tak off my dash

I will also be converting to a manual steering rack later to get rid of the pump and bracket.

Remove the audio equipment like the amps and speakers. the center console and the glovebox lid the inside door panels.

The TII hood looks a bit iffy around the school area. Looks like the weave of the carbon is a little... funky. I have heard that from someone who has seen it in person too.

For $600 I'd want something very nice.
