yea you just spray it into the intake. it wont hurt it, might as well give it a try if you think thats what it needs. make sure your ignition system is good, and make sure your battery and starter are cranking hard.

I've used starter fluid in the past with no ill effects and good results. Just use it with some good sense. Just spray into the snorkel before the afm for maybe two seconds. Get in the car and crank the engine. If the car does not catch for a moment and go varoom.....then stop cranking. If you have no results doing this for three or four trys then stop. You've a probem with the ignition.
Starter fluid used with the fuel pump disabled will give you a clue whether you have a ignition or a fuel problem. If the car goes varoom after spraying....then you have a fuel delivery problem most likely. No varoom would indicate an ignition problem.
But NEVER have someone continuously spray into the intake to keep an engine running. That will cause massive KNOCK which we all know is deadly. Just an initial two second spray before the afm. I've had no problem at all in the past doing this.
And cranking a non starting engine will KILL the starter after a while. You want to avoid excessive cranking. Excessive cranking does NOTHING good for the rotor housing either.

I hear what your saying. I feel opposite only in that I have seen too many guys bring me cars they just kept spraying either in. Last year I rebuilt 3 different motors that the car needed fuel pumps. In each case the owner got the car running on either and kept it running on it for the full can AND, I had to find atleast one rotor and housing.

If anyone wants to hear what constant spraying into the intake does, on the cheap......Start your lawnmower. Spray a continuos spray in the intake. Now you know what KNOCK is. Its that deadly rattle noise. If your lucky...the lawn mower will break and you won't have to mow the lawn.

I dont think it has a problem with the fuel pump.
I installed a fuel cut off switch so she dosent flood.
So I think it is getting enough gas... its just ops crap I realized I put "100k" on my first post I meant 100 clicks not thousand kms... i know rebuilds are hard to start but its really cold out.. just wanted it as a "band-aid" until the weather heats up...
but the last thing I want to do is kill my engine before its born so I'll take your advice Mr. Gadget and stay away from the can of QS
Thanks for the tips!
