Shifter housing ID

Hi guys,

Is anyone able to identify what shifter housing this is? I know it's either an s4 or s5 turbo, but I need to know which one specifically so I can buy a shifter for it. Will shifters from other models fit this housing?

Thanks in advance,

That tail shaft housing appears to be an S5 based on the trans mount area so the rest of the parts probably are as well. You can swap shifters between S4 and S5 (as well as FB's, and miatas) pretty easily - the shifter tower is basically the same.

One thing to note - FB's and S4 use a 12x1.5mm shift **** and the bottom of the shifter has just a metal ball that rides inside the shifter mechanism. The S5 and later went to 10x1.25mm ***** and have a plastic bushing around the bottom of the shifter. They are interchangeable though - hope that helps.
