I have an S5 engine in my FB and I used yellow RX8 injectors for both primaries and secondaries. After about 2000 miles, the injector seals look shot, and I smell gas in the engine bay under heavy throttle.
Did I use the wrong seals (all rx8 seals I think)? Or did I just use poor quality gaskets?
I am not sure what replacement parts to order so it doesn't happen again. If anyone else is running RX8 injectors successfully I'd love to know what parts work. I found a post specifying a combination of RX8 and RX7 injector seals but didn't specify which RX8 seals
I saw that post, but was hoping for a bit more info. There are a few different RX8 injector grommets available, and when I look on Rockauto they're selling all the same seal kits for the S5 as the RX8 so I am not sure what to make of it. I might just have to buy a few different ones from Mazda and see what works...
