Setting timing on a FC?

So Im confused. The underhood sticker specifies like 10* on Leading, 20* on trailing. When I hook my light up, and set it to 10* on leading, it lines right up. But when I switch to trailing, I have to set my light to 0* before it lines up, 20* is way off. Racing Beats website talks about setting leading timing, and then setting trailing timing, but aren't they both fed from the crank angle sensor? Can you adjust each one or not? Cause they talk about a mis-timed trailing side causing engine damage and mine is WAY off, but the Leading is spot on. Nobody has a good explanation for how to time these things.

Not trying to insult anyone's Intelec or knowledge, but. Did you switch the timing gun's lead from leading to trailing before checking for timing?

Recommend you check the FSM link. FYI, you cannot set leading and trailing timing independently. You set one timing mark (either leading and trailing) and the other timing mark should already be lined up as specified. Make sure you ground the green one pin test connector next to the battery before checking your timing.
