Trailing timing

Ok i have been beating my head over and over on this for weeks. I have my leading set to 10 btdc locked dizzy turbo 12a. I cant seem to adjust the trailing no matter what i do. No timing light i have will pick up the trailing side. Even if i fire the car on trailing only!!!!!!! Every timing light i have tried same thing.

the other day i got it to pickup trailing but when i was adjusting it the car was reving up then dyeing so i had something crossed i think and i was adjusting leading.
So i put everything back to stock (disconnected the fc coil setup) regardless of that mishap i still cant adjust trailing.

YEs the pot is hooked to the slider inside the dizzy. I have spark too. The light flashes but not for trailing. Dosnt matter where i put the clip i cant pick it up. I have tried three timing lights one that another forum member suggested as its the one he has.

Bottom line it's making me wanna smash it with a hammer lol!!!

Good news. Sometimes a bad spark plug will do this too- so you know in the future.
