trailing timing mark?

I was setting my timing, and as I went to adjust the trailing timing, I noticed..... the trailing mark is nowhere to be found....I marked both leading and trailing marks with a yellow paint marker, so they can't be missed. Come to think of it, I tried adjusting the trailing by moving the vacume advance thing, I can see the position of the pully moving about an inch or inch and a half when moving the trailing timing from fully advanced to fully retarded, but there are not marks to be found, trailing or leading... I've tried on both spark plug wires as well... Maybe a crappy timing light? Or vacume leak? I am not sure. Thoughts and ideas??

it wouldnt be in the timing light. you'd see a mark even if you had crappy wires. how far did you advance or retard? be VERY careful when adjusting the trailing timing. it can be a nightmare!

I misread my manual, I didn't realize this is done all on the front rotor.... I figured it out now. But... once its all in line, it hesitates when you try and rev it up from an idle, so I advanced the timing and it seems to work pretty good, with little hesitation.
