searched but i get a proxy server error??? Oil pressure
I put a rebuild in my car. It was smoking horribly. and i was kinda leary on having almost 70 psi of oil pressure. but i pulled the turbo off and noticed that the manifold was bone dry and the hotside of the turbo was coated in oil. Well after a Bnr stage 2 i am still getting smoking really bad and it will not go away . IM now seeing at idle 70 psi Plus and the lowest i have seen was 50 at idle. now the oil in the car was changed and fresh when i put in in about a month ago. but on a hunch i decided to change it again anyway . well im getting glugging out of the oil drain. Makes me think something is up like a blockage in the oil system somewhere. I even pulled off the PCV feed off the bottom off my filler neck that ran to my charcol canister. IM pretty much out of places to look . any ideas???

used 10-30 with a fram oil filter on the last one(about 1.5-2 months ago )
.. this time i used 20w-50 for the summer months . with a fram filter.
edit: since my first post i have tried pulling the oil filler cap, un plugging the top cap( i removed the emissions and had it capped off) (i also have and had a line going to the charcol canister) and the smoke has gone away a little and i let the car idle in my driveway for about 10 minutes .. at last glance it was at 54 psi at idle with just a little smoke

You may wish to try a different oil filter, as some frams have cause problems in the past.
Try a OEM filter and see if the pressure is the same

I run nothing but OE filters and my oil pressure is perfect in the summer when I run 20w50 in her.
65-70 psi under high rpm, 25 psi at idle, and 55-60 cruising at 55mph (2400 rpm roughly)

yeah i was told many times to switch to a oem filter even before this started happening and im just a stubbron sob. but monday ill have to take arun to the dealership and get some . but i took the car on its first real ride since the rebuld and the smoke is going away . i guess that is a good thing. also im starting to get a variance in the oil pressure. at idle im anywhere from 50-60 and 2.5 k and up im at 70 . i guess i just have to break it in . but the smoke is semi tolerable as opposed to what it was before. i got pulled over once cuz the cops thought that my car was on fire. and i cleared the center of my town with all the smoke .. hehehehehhe .. but ill still do the oem filters on the next change which will be at 500 miles which is like about 300 miles away now .. hehehehe
