It makes a really cool smoke show, and lasts for about 30 miles or so after you do it. As far as helping or not, hard to say. I'd consider it similar to the water treatment, don't see why it would be any worse.

if you know what you are doing you can do the same thing with water all you do is unhook avac line and stick the vac line in a cup of water. cause seafoam does the same thing all your doing is basically steam cleaning you engine

I have had good luck with it on other cars. Seems to help the higher rpm range on older motors. Seafoam is 25-35% Naphtha, which is a solvent. I believe it bonds to carbon in your engine, and helps clean that way. Not completely sure though, all I know is that it has helped on a lot of other cars I have had/worked on.

I have had very good results spraying a whole can of Amsoil Powerfoam in my rotormotors as well as isuzu v6, thunderbird straight 6, and geo metro L3.

Never used SeaFoam but the isuzu guys love it too.

I did it on my engine and it worked. I could see some carbon smoke coming out the tail pipe, and then it turned white. I do it to keep carbon from building up on the rotors.

I've dont it to my RX twice since I got it, hasn't hurt anything and it made my old car run much smoother when I used it. I'd give it my approval.

This ****** Smoked Alot.
More than what you see in the video.
That's just the clearing process since I was up by the engine bay feeding the Vacuum lines with SeaFoam.
I put a clamp on the throttle so it would stay at about 2500RPM, then redlined it in the backroads...
I don't know what that smoke is all about.
I mean burning some type of chemical will smoke. I don't know if they were the damn carbon bullshit.

My Compressions are 110PSI for both rotors
Some JackAss told me I had 85 like 2 yrs ago. and He was supposed to be a RotorHead. He Probably Lied To me Big Time. But Why? My compressions are about right. 2 of us checked it, and the car wasn't fully warmed to the Normal Temp. About 5 Mins Idle.
(Cold Engines show less compression )

Carbon/Fouled up.

Comparison: Old/New
Right one is the virgin, as you can see the hole is tighter than the left.
