i wouldnt mess around with that screw, it controls the spring that lets open under pressure, you could have a boost leak if adjusted incorrectly

I have read of people adjusting the greddy type S bovs by idling the car and then loosening the screw until it begins to leak and then tighten it 1/3 turn. I did this and it works fine. It controls how quickly your bov will open.

The spring adjusts how much the seal opens when the BAC is activated. If you tighten it completley, when the BAC is operational it will only open a tiny tiny bit.

My valve was totally fucked, so I just ****** hucked it. I tried to take it apart to maybe replace that rubber seal, so I undid the allen nut all the way and was rewarded with the fact that its a setting screw, not a screw that holds the BAC together.

I don't think there is a way to take the BAC valve apart, without breaking it open.

Gee Whiz. We've gone from a question about a BOV to talking about the BAC. Outstanding.

ok the nut is located on the back of the BOV, you will first need to losen the nut first and then adjust the screw to your specific setting and then tighten the nut thats all. And i did some setting myself, i dont know exactlly what it really do, but all i know is that it just makes the BOV release either either at low boost or at high boost and the sound to be louder too. But i dont really know anything else and again i could be wrong. But i know where the screw is though hehe

it really just changes the tension on the secondary BOV diaphragm changing the pitch that the BOV sounds at varying boost levels. play with it how you want just do not remove it or you will have a vacuum leak.

(i've taken them apart many times so i know this is accurate)

it adjusts the pressure at which it will open (i.e. 9 psi, 10 psi, 15 psi)

i have the HKS SSQV on my 88t2 and i have the screw in the back all the way in. It blows off at 1 or 2 psi, it is quiet but it still relieves the pressure. i have also had the screw all the way and it did the same thing. the screw in the back of a hks ssqv is to change the sound of the bov, not when it releases the air.

They did update the SSQV, they took the adjustment screw off of the new ones.

But yes, all that screw does it adjust spring tension and make it harder/easier for the valve to open. Adjust it open until the car starts to stumble due to the big vacuum leak, then tighten it until it runs fine, and then give it another 1/3 turn or so.

Hi

I have Greddy Type S too (It's strange, it marked Type RS on the top)

I loosened screw completely by idling the car and that still does not leak
