Safe boost amounts.
Alright. Just wondering about some safe boost levels here.
Engine will be the following:
IC moved to FMIC, Cone Filter Intake, 3inch straight pipe exhaust, Walbro fuel pump, stock injectors.
This is for a S4 Turbo engine with around 170,000km on it (I think). How much boost is still safe for that fuel system with the mods listed? Would it be safe to be around 10psi? Would be getting boost controller ASAP for it and gauge and stuff.
Also, anyone know what kind of HP that would be putting out on stock 8psi boost?
Thanks for info.

Don't go over 10psi. You've made some nice changes, but the bottom-line is this -- The stock EFI system is still in place. Anything over fuel cut boost is not good to do. It's the same classic problem all of us FC owners have had for years and years. I blew two engines because of being stubborne on this point and running FCD's so don't do it.
8psi, using your stuff, oughta net you around high 190's to 210 to the wheels I'd suspect.

if you have an SAFC you can go up there (10ish psi), but with that S4 turbo be VERY VERY careful to watch your boost EVERYTIME you floor it. Also, if your injectors havent been cleaned ever, your not flowing 550cc's.
One time i hit 1.5 bar on stock injectors for about .3 seconds before i let off immediately and freaked the **** outta myself (s4 turbo). Port your wastegate...it'll take 1/8 the amount of time then a rebuild and only about 30 bux in carbide bits

Awesome, thanks for the replys guys. I have not done any of this yet, don't even have the engine yet...but very good chance of getting the full engine+driveline+ ALL electrical so the swap is more then likely gonna happen. And those are what my mods would be instantly....so nothing over 10psi then.....thats fine with me....thanks alot guys.
