My s5 na started leaking from the power steering pressure sensor. I dont have a spare sensor at the time. Is there a way to cap it for the mean time. Just need to stop the leak for now.

IICR, there's a rubber oring between that sensor and the pump. You might want to check it out.

I removed it and the o ring seems fine but I replaced it just in case. I think it's leaking from where the cable is located. Is this a common leak from these power steering sensors?

BTW, this sensor is NLA from Mazda. A while back, I was looking for one of these sensors for my S5 and was unable to find one from an aftermarket supplier

This sensor broke in half for me and was leaking from the bottom of the sensor.

since i cant order this sensor new. I went to a fastener shop and found a bolt that fits it. I just had to grind it down to the sensor size and add a O ring.

Just for grins, check out that sensor from Ford.
Ford owned part of Mazda during the second gen era and there is an astonishing amount of crossover in common parts like that sensor.
Mazda may not bother carrying it, but Ford might.

Worth a look.

Clokker brings up a good point about checking out Ford sensors. Atkins sells a senor for the FD (https://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/9...80-32-230.html). Not sure if this would work on an FC. Maybe you'd need an adapter due to thread size.differences.
