do s4's have mechanical oil metering pump or an electronic.
if they fit correctly, and they also serve the same purpose then i dont see why they wouldn't work..

On topic here, but wondering if the turbo ones are different than the NA ones, due to positive and negative pressure in the intake...

yes you can run them.

if i remember correctly, the ***** part on the s4 is longer and s5 has shorter *****,,, so you cant screw the s4 oil injector into a s5 housing because it would jam,,, but you can put the small s5 ***** in the large s4 ***** though...

i dont remember,,, been a while,, but that should be it if i rmemeber correctly

They are the same length... only difference i can see is the S4's have larger holes for the oil to flow through and S5's have smaller holes... So does this mean my car is getting less oil??

If what you say is true about s5's have smaller holes then it may be because of mechanical vs. electrical oil injection (different rates).

I doubt they are different rates. The oil injectors work off of oil pressure from the engine, the pump in the OMP does not 'pump' oil at all. The oil pressure in the s4/s5 is the same. The part thats in the omp is to allow certain amounts of oil through, to meter the oil going to each oil injector.

I'm almost positive that is incorrect. The OMP lines have very little to no pressure. It is a fresh air source that pulls the oil through the lines and through the oil injectors after the OMP has metered the oil.

yes that is right, but something more than vaccum is pushing the oil into the engine and its not the 'pump' in the omp. I've taken the OMP apart completley and I found that all it does is 'meter' the oil into the lines, the oil pressure from the engine pushes oil into the OMP in wich a small gear with different reseccess in the shaft allow bits of oil to each line at a particular rpm of the shaft. The oil pressure behind the OMP may be 80psi, but once it goes through the OMP metering shaft its just being pushed out by the oil behind it. The oil is not under pressure after the OMP.
